To
remain in the ruins of a building.
To follow downwards from the subterranean water between the calves, clumsily, accelerating the breathing rhythm.
To follow upwards, up to a dried up pigeon house. Grinded pigeons. Dust. Light entering as the only movement, wind forced to scratch and scatter the particles in a worn out space.
Permanencia is the result of a month long stay in the ruins of the estrella casero dance classroom in the Universidad de Alcalá. The video is edited as a visual poem in which the camera tries to stop the perceptions suggested by a space when left itself to decline.
